Resumen de El deseo de paternidad en los varones: algunas disertaciones desde el psicoanálisis

  El lugar del padre en la teoría psicoanalítica resulta paradójico. Si bien tiene un papel fundamental en la teoría como interdictor en la relación madre-hijo(a), fundador de la ley y encargado de preservación de la cultura, también se ha caracterizado por su ausencia como sujeto en un rol parental, que participa como objeto de amor y proveedor de cuidados. Actualmente, nos encontramos con el fortalecimiento de un nuevo ideal de paternidad en el que cada vez con más frecuencia el varón es partícipe de la crianza desde los primeros momentos de vida del bebé, nuevas reparticiones del ordenamiento genérico que, sin duda, tienen implicaciones en la forma en la que podemos pensar la crianza y el papel del padre y la madre en la subjetivación de los hijos. Es por ello que este trabajo se propone pensar y teorizar acerca de un fenómeno muy temprano en las relaciones padre-hijo(a) que se encuentra sumamente inexplorado: el deseo de paternidad. A partir de una revisión teórica que va desde Freud hasta autoras contemporáneas como Irene Meler, se analiza una serie de entrevistas llevadas a cabo con varones mexicanos a punto de ser padres primerizos. A partir de ello, se identifican algunos elementos que juegan en la constitución del deseo de paternidad, como las identificaciones con lo paterno y lo materno, la posibilidad de reparación del vínculo con el propio padre, el narcisismo manifestado en las nociones de renacer y trascender, y la fantasía masculina del hijo como un doble.

  The place that the father occupies in the psychoanalytical theory represents a paradox. While its function is thought to be fundamental to separate the mother-son relationship, founding the law and being and prevailing the culture, the father is also defined for his absence as a subject in a parental role, who participates as a love object and a care giver. Nowadays we can see the strengthening of a new ideal of fatherhood in which every time is more frequent that the father participates of the raising process since the very first moments of the baby’s life, bringing up new functioning of the gender roles which, of course, transforms the way he had been thinking about the raising, the place of the father and the mother, and their influences on their child’s subjectivity. This work pretends to reflect and propose new theorical elements about a very early phenomenon in the father-son relationships: the wish to be a father. Starting with a theoretical review from Freud to contemporary authors like Irene Meler, we analyse ten interviews with Mexican man who where going to be fathers for the first time. By doing so, we identified some elements playing an important role in the constitution of the wish to be a father, like identifications with the father and the mother, the possibility to repair the bond with the own father, the narcissism revealed through the notions of being reborn and transcending, and the male phantasy of the son as a double.
