    • : Hamstring injuries are the most common muscle injuries in football (Ekstrand et al., 2011).

      This injury is less prevalent in young soccer players than in adults. However, due to early specialization, previous literature has showed an increased injury risk in football players from 15 to 17 years old (Valle et al., 2018). Different studies have shown that lower ROM values are one intrinsic factor associated with injury risk (Henderson et al., 2010). However, other studies have not found this relationship (van Doormaal et al., 2017). Part of the controversy could be explained by the internal and external validity of ROM testing, using non-functional and passive test. Further research using better protocols is needed to keep investigating the difference during developmental stages. The aim of this study was to determine the differences in ROM using Active Straight Leg Raise (ASLR) test between injured and non-injured youth football players (15-18 y.o).
