    En los 100 años de historia de la Escuela Central de Educación Física (ECEF), la propia trayectoria de las Fuerzas Armadas, la necesidad de la sólida preparación física que han de poseer sus componentes, los nuevos retos a los que nos enfrentamos, los avances en el ámbito de la Educación Física (EF) y la búsqueda de la máxima calidad de las enseñanzas impartidas, han ido conformando la estructura y cometidos que definen y distinguen a este centro.

    En el presente artículo, se pretende ofrecer una visión de la misión actual de la Escuela, sus cometidos, cómo se articula para cumplirlos y qué oferta formativa posee. Asimismo, se abrirá una puerta al conocimiento de determinadas materias o áreas específicas relacionadas con la formación física y técnica del militar.

    In the 100 years of history of the Central School of Physical Education (ECEF), the career of the Armed Forces, the need for the solid physical training that their components must possess, the new challenges we face, the advances in the field of Physical Education (PE) and the search for the highest quality of the teaching given, have been shaping the structure and tasks that define and distinguish this center.

    In the present article, it is intended to offer a vision of the current mission of the School, its tasks, how it is articulated to fulfill them and what training offer it has. Likewise, a door will be opened to the knowledge of specific matters or areas related to the physical and technical training of the soldier.
