  This work was based on a bibliographical review and addresses challenges to the Brazilian Social Service in times of regression of rights and immeasurable losses to all working class as of the coup of 2016 and the entry of Michel Temer in the presidency of Brazil. Our objective is to discuss the trajectory of struggles and resistance within the profession, highlighting the sociopolitical direction engendered, above all, after the 1990s, from the interlocution with the Marxist theory, and to emphasize the fundamental and strategic role of the entities of the Service (ABEPSS, CFESS / CRESS and ENESSO) in the construction and ongoing struggle for the maintenance of the social management profession, especially in these challenging times. In the meantime, we emphasize that the political relationship that sustains the entities is a patrimony of the category that must be preserved and strengthened

  Este trabalho foi construído a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica e aborda desafios ao Serviço Social brasileiro em tempos de regressão de direitos e imensuráveis perdas a todo conjunto da classe trabalhadora a partir do golpe de 2016 e a entrada de Michel Temer na presidência do Brasil. Nosso objetivo é discorrer sobre a trajetória de lutas e resistências no interior da profissão, destacando a direção sociopolítica engendrada, sobretudo, após a década de 1990, a partir da interlocução com a teoria marxista, e enfatizar o papel fundamental e estratégico das entidades do Serviço Social Brasileiro (ABEPSS, CFESS/CRESS e ENESSO) na construção e luta permanente pela manutenção da direção social profissão, sobretudo nestes tempos desafiantes.
