  • CADED, an integrated CAD/CAM system to desing and manufacture mechanical elements is presented. CADED is a personal computer based system and involves mechanical desing, elastic analysis by the finite element method, graphic representation of manufacturing drawings, development od NC programs and transmission of them to the machine-tool.

    In this paper, a discussion of the most outstanding features fo CADED and a detailed description of CADED-BD, a data base system specifically developed to support CADED, are included.
