Resumen de A model and a user interface for multimedia documents

The relational models and systems do not permit to describe and manipulate efficiently documents because of therir complexity (hierachically structured data with several levels, huge data).
In first section, the complex object notion is defined and, in particular, document concept. The second section treats of dinamically structuration of documents. Three operations: nest , unnest and group, allow to restructure relations in database schema. The last section presents a solution to permit the complex object sharing in a database.
