  • In ISSoffice, the office systems researchers at ISS attempt to integrate into one system several research contributions from cooperative processing, multi-media technology and AI to provide intelligent support for the office. This paper docuements their vision and effort todate. ISSoffice is a growing set of user agents, currently comprissing an interactive mail interface, a data entry frontend, an intelligent database server and a knowledge base server cooperating in a distributed environment through a message transfer system. The example of a presentation reminder sequence offers a scenario for illustrating the intregated and intelligent suppor provided by ISSoffice.
