  • The mathematical model and the control system of the strip temperature for a heating furnace in a continuous annealing line process are discussed. The mayor features of the control system are the dynamic model of a direct firing furnace and a preheting furnace, and the control strategies of the strip size change stage and the line speed change stage. The accuracy of the model was confirmed by the comparison of the calculated and the actual values of strip temperature. This control system is planned to be applied to our process.
