  • The requeriment of faster cargo handling work leads to higher speeds and accelerations on the motion of cranes. The application presented in this paper has been developed in a research project in which methods for crane automation are studied. A distributed microcomputer system is installed to a pilot crane. Different control strategies are also briefly discussed.
