    El Códice florentino, vasta obra sahaguntina, sirve de base para una aproximación al concepto de augurio en el marco de la cosmovisión de los antiguos nahuas. El eje de la pesquisa es la lectura del contexto de la palabra tetzáhuitl a lo largo de los diversos libros que componen la monumental obra, dada su diversidad temática. Tras un primer desglose obligado por las diferentes acepciones del término, la referencia estricta a la revelación de lo oculto da a conocer características importantes de las antiguas creencias sobre el destino

    The Florentine Codex, Sahagun’s extensive work, acts as the basis for an approach to the concept of omen within the framework of the worldview of the ancient Nahuas.

    The axis of the research is the reading of the context of the word tetzáhuitl throughout the various books that make up the monumental work, given its thematic diversity. After a first breakdown compelled by the different meanings of the term, the strict reference to the revelation of the hidden unfolds important characteristics of the ancient beliefs about destiny.
