Resumen de El perfil blando en las maloclusiones: Un estudio cefalométrico comparativo

En este trabajo se analizan las características del perfil blando en u na muestra de 94 telerradiogra fías iniciales de pacientes sujetos a tratamiento ortodóncico. distribuidos en tres grupos coincidentes con las clases de Angle. El grupo de Clase I tenía 33 individuos: el de Clase II, 39; y el de Clase III, 22. Las distintas mediciones empleadas estudian la morfología nasal, el •grosor de los tejidos blandos y las relaciones sagitales entre el perfil duro y el blando . La edad media de la muestra fue de 8,22 años. Al analizar las diferencias entre estos tres grupos. destacaron algunos resulta dos. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en la morfología nasal. El grosor del labio superior era mayor en el grupo de Clase II, mientras que el inferior lo era en el de Clase III. También se encontraron diferencias significativas en los ángulos SNB y ANB blandos .

In this work are analized some characteristics of the soft tissue profile in a sample of 94 initial cephalographies of orthodontically treated patients grouped according to Angle's classification. The Class I group had 33 individuals, 39 the Class II one and were Class III. The mean age of the sample was 8,22 years.
The measurements used studied the nasa l morpbology. be ofi tissues width and the sagital relationship between soft and bony profiles.
The differences between the three groups were analized. The maí n resul ts showed no ditferences in nasal morphology; the width of the upper lip was higber in the Class II grou p while the lower Jip was thicker in the Class III group. Also statisticall y significant differences were found in the soft tissue SNA and ANB angles.
