Resumen de Drogas y género: Una comparación del inicio del consumo de alcohol, tabaco y cannabis entre hombres y mujeres jóvenes en Andalucía

  El objetivo de esta investigación es comparar los patrones de inicio del consumo de alcohol, tabaco y cannabis, desagregando los datos por sexo entre hombres y mujeres jóvenes en Andalucía. Se realizó una encuesta transversal a jóvenes entre los 18 y 25 años de aquellas localidades de menos de 20.000 habitantes. El cuestionario, que fue diseñado especialmente para el estudio, fue autocontestado anónimamente por la muestra. La muestra estaba formada por 30 personas, 15 hombres (XY) y 15 mujeres (XX). El 90 % de las personas encuestadas han consumido alguna vez una de estas tres drogas.

  Del total de la muestra, consumen alcohol un 86’7% de los jóvenes encuestados, consumen tabaco el 63’3% y cannabis el 60%. Existe un mayor porcentaje de mujeres que han consumido estas tres drogas, sin embargo, los hombres al principio consumen más cantidad y consideran que tienen más excesos y adicciones que las mujeres.

  The overall objective is to compare the patterns of the beginning stages of alcohol, tobacco and cannabis consumption, dividing the data according to gender between young males and females in Andalucía. Considering those towns that account less than 20.000 inhabitants, a transversal survey would be applied to young people between the ages of 18 to 25. The survey was designed only for this research, and it was auto-answered by an anonymous sample. The sample was made up by 30 people, 15 of them men (XY) and the other 15women (XX).90% of the survey respondents said that they had consumed at least one out of the three drugs. From the total sample, 86.7% of young survey respondents consume alcohol, 63.3% consume tobacco and 60% consume cannabis. There was a higher percent of women consuming these three drugs over men, but nonetheless, men would consume more quantity at the beginning and they consider themselves more addicted and excessive than women.
