El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el tipo de representación de la realidad que se da en esta novela dentro del contexto de la crisis de finales del siglo XIX. Novela en la que los planos de la realidad, el mito y la leyenda se confunden para señalar la condición trascendental del ser humano.

  This novel is analyzed highlighting its singularity in the modernist Spanish narrative. The objective of this work is to study the type of representation of reality that is given in this novel in the context of the crisis of the late nineteenth century. Novel in which the planes of reality, the myth and the legend fiction are confused to highlight the transcendental condition of the human being.
