Two tholeiite-basaltic units, with interbedded Ladinian-Carnian limestones were emplaced in Triassic materials of the Beni Snassen Massif (NE Morocco). These tholeiitic basalts are uncomformable overlaid by liassic materials. Their extrusion seems to be related to two basement family fractures with a restricted regional development, suggesting a short extension of a rifting event previously to Liassic.
