In this paper it is shown, for the first time, the existence in the Basal Complex of the Fuerteventura Island, of perovskite-bearing clinopyroxenites that underwent metamorphic and metasomatic recrystallization. The mineral and chemical readjustments that have happened during these processes are described in detail. We demonstrate that the isochemical transformation predominate over the metasomatism, and that both are due to the thermal - hydrothermal effects produced by the neraby Pájara Pluton.
