  Se da a conocer el hallazgo de Moerckia flotoviana por primera vez en España (Asturias) y en la Cordillera Cantábrica. Este hallazgo propició la revisión de la presencia de M. hibernica en Andorra, la única cita previa del género conocida en la Península Ibérica, lo que permitió asignar las poblaciones andorranas también a M. flotoviana. Además, se ha recopilado los datos de la distribución conocida del género en la cordillera pirenaica.

  The first report of Moerckia flotoviana in Spain (Asturies) and the Cantabrian range, is presented. This finding triggered the revision of the presence of M. hibernica in Andorra, the only previously known report of the genus in the Iberian Peninsula, which has also been revised and assigned to M. flotoviana. Additionally, data on the known distribution of the genus in the Pyrenean range are compiled.
