    Concepción Arenal Ponte fue una escritora comprometida enormemente en el Siglo XIX con la “Cuestión Social”. Tuvo un enfoque aventajado también en el tratamiento de la pobreza y en la búsqueda de soluciones a este grave problema social. La cuestión social. Cartas a un obrero y a un señor de Ávila y El Pauperismo fueron dos obras en las que de una manera instructiva y con una gran claridad y sencillez sintetizó cuestiones y posiciones filosóficas e ideológicas complejas al respecto haciendo una clasificación de los pobres según la causa de su miseria y esbozó algunas soluciones para atajar este grave problema social.

    Concepción Arenal Ponte was a writer greatly committed in the 19th century with the "Social Issue". It also had an advantageous approach in the treatment of poverty and in the search for solutions to this serious social problem. The social Issue, Letters to a worker and a lord of Ávila and The Pauperism were two works in which in an instructive means and with great clarity and simplicity she synthesized complex philosophical and ideological issues and positions in this regard, managing to do classify the poor according to the cause of his misery and where he outlined some solutions to tackle this serious social problem.
