    El presente trabajo se propone problematizar el estatuto de la fotografía selfi en el entramado de narrativas propias de las redes sociales virtuales. En este sentido, articulamos reflexiones que estructuran un análisis sobre su constitución como forma expresiva, sus dinámicas de circulación, la relación de la fotografía con los rostros y de allí con los contingentes regímenes de belleza socio históricos. Asimismo, se relaciona la selfi con Instagram, donde advertiremos el consumo bajo la temporalidad de lo efímero. Como fotografía del presente que le habla al presente haciendo existir acontecimientos cotidianos, tematizamos el corrimiento entre lo público, lo privado y lo íntimo que propone en su contrato de lectura.

    The present work problematizes the status of selfie photography in the network of narratives typical of virtual social media. In this sense, we put together several thoughts that build up an analysis about the constitution of the selfie as an expressive form, its dynamics of circulation and the links between photography, faces and the contingent regimes of socio-historical beauty. Likewise, we associate the selfie with Instagram, where consumption can be noticed under the temporality given by the ephemeral. Finally, we thematize the shift between the public, the private and the intimate within the reading contract proposed by the selfie, as a photograph of the present that speaks to the present by making everyday events exist.
