Resumen de Mujeres que tejen y saben en la poesía de Ida Vitale

En este artículo analizamos la configuración y significado del símbolo de la mujer que teje en la poesía de Ida Vitale. La autora uruguaya emplea el mito para conseguir la imagen de una mujer sabia, que se hace consciente del mundo y de sus propios límites a través de su trabajo. Analizamos las características más importantes del mito y cuáles han sido las lecturas del mismo. Nos centraremos en Ariadna y Penélope, cuyas historias han sido revisadas desde una perspectiva feminista en la poesía del siglo XX, y que se exploran desde la consciencia. Presentamos a mujeres que al tejer construyen la/su historia. Junto a otros mitos y mujeres nos conducirán hasta un “yo poético” que explora conceptos similares,convirtiéndose en otra mujer que también teje y sabe.

In this paper, we focus on the configuration and meaning of a symbol: thewoman who weaves in Ida Vitale’s poetry. The Uruguayan author uses myths to get theimage of a woman of wisdom, who rouses to a self-awareness of the world and her ownboundaries by way of her weaving. We will analyze the particular characteristics of the myth.We will concentrate on Ariadne and Penelope. Twentieth Century poetry reconsiders theirhistories from a feminine perspective. The texts chosen explore the consciousness: thesewomen build the/their history by their weaving. Ariadne and Penelope along with othermyths and women will lead us to a “poetic I” that explores similar concepts, as anotherwoman who weaves and knows.
