Resumen de El fondo de música polifónica de los siglos XVI-XVII de la Catedral de Guadix

Hasta la fecha, no se tenía constancia de todo el conjunto de obras musicales pertenecientes a los siglos XVI-XVII del fondo conservado en la catedral de Guadix. Salvo algunos libros corales exhibidos en distintas muestras, se desconocía la existencia de una serie de libretos de polifonía y un libro manuscrito, que evidencian lo que fue la actividad musical en la seo accitana en ese momento de la historia. Se trata de un verdadero hallazgo y su catalogación un intento de preservar un legado patrimonial que, afortunadamente, ha llegado hasta nosotros.

To date, no evidence of the full range of musical works from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries belonging to the fund kept in the Guadix’s Cathedral be had. Except some choir books exhibited in different samples, it was unaware of the existence of a set of coral polyphony scripts and a manuscript book, which show what was the musical activity in this cathedral at this time in history. It is thus a real finding and cataloging, an attempt to preserve a heritage legacy that has fortunately survived.
