  A fines del siglo XVIII la Nueva España vivió una profunda transformación. Con las reformas borbónicas se modificó el sistema de gobierno, la estructura de la economía y el orden de la sociedad. La agricultura en el Bajío novohispano incrementó y la minería fue revitalizada con inversiones y compañías integradas con miembros que migraron desde el norte de España. El texto observa las redes sociales de los vascos y navarros que participaron activamente en la economía atlántica del siglo XVIII: sus lugares de procedencia, sus negocios y cargos, la formación de redes y alianzas, la circulación de recursos y los efectos materiales y culturales de estos flujos en Guanajuato.

  At the end of the 18th century, New Spain underwent a profound transformation. The Spanish crown introduced new ideas and important administrative reforms in their American kingdoms that influenced society and the viceregal government. A large Spanish immigration arrived to the American continent and mining was revitalized with investments and companies from north Spain. The text looks at the social networks of the Navarrese who participated most actively in the Atlantic economy: their places of origin, their businesses and positions, the formation of networks and alliances, the movement of resources and the material and cultural impact of these flows in Guanajuato.
