    The article discusses the strategy of formation and development of skills of contextual guess when teaching foreign students reading texts in Russian. The authors proposed a complex of exercises that contribute to a successful understanding of the content of the text being read and the development of communicative competence as a whole (at the pre-university stage of study).

    В статье рассматривается стратегия формирования и развития навыков контекстуальной догадки при обучении иностранных студентов чтению текстов на русском языке. Авторами предложен комплекс упражнений, способствующих успешному пониманию содержания читаемого текста и развитию коммуникативной компетенции в целом (на предвузовском этапе обучения).
