    El presenta artículo busca examinar las diferentes propuestas que se han presentado para el debate concerniente al trasfondo lingüístico del término Kyrios en el Nuevo Testamento. Luego de proveer un análisis crítico de las propuestas imperiales, helenísticas y arameas se procede a proponer y a fundamentar la posibilidad de que el trasfondo lingüístico del vocablo sea hallado en la LXX.

    The aim of the article is to analyze different positions that have been defended within the debate regarding the linguistic background of the expression Kyrios in the New Testament. After presenting a critical analysis of the Imperial, Hellenistic and Aramaic positions, the possibility that the linguistic background of the expression might be found within the Septuagint is suggested and argued

    O presente artigo procura examinar as diferentes propostas apresentadas para o debate sobre o fundo linguístico do termo Kyrios no Novo Testamento. Depois de fornecer uma análise crítica das propostas imperiais, helenísticas e arameias procede-se a propor e fundamentar a possibilidade de que o fundo linguístico do termo seja achado no século LXX.
