Autopercepción de los estudiantes en enfermería de nivel licenciatura sobre sus competencias teórico-prácticas

    Se trata de un estudio cuantitativo, transversal, prospectivo y descriptivo. El objetivo fue identificar el nivel de autopercepción de las competencias teóricas y prácticas de los estudiantes de séptimo y octavo semestre, de la licenciatura en enfermería de la UNAM. Material y métodos: Mediante un instrumento conformado por 48 ítems medidos en la escala Likert, que va de nivel principiante a nivel experto. Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados con el programa SPSS, previo a la aplicación del instrumento se realizó una prueba piloto en la que se obtuvo un grado de fiabilidad con alfa de Cronbach de 0.95. La muestra estuvo conformada por 152 estudiantes de enfermería de la generación 2014-2018, de ambos sexos, tanto del turno matutino como del vespertino. Hallazgos: Los estudiantes de manera general se autoperciben en un nivel eficiente en cuanto a las competencias teórico-prácticas. Los que trabajan en un área clínica consideran que poseen un mayor nivel de experticia en comparación con los que trabajan en otras áreas. Se encontró que no existe diferencia entre hombres y mujeres sobre el grado de autopercepción que poseen. Conclusión: Los estudiantes en enfermería poseen los conocimientos teóricos y prácticos adecuados y su autopercepción se considera aceptable tomando en cuenta su formación académica.

    This is a quantitative, cross-sectional, prospective and descriptive study that was carried out with the objective of identifying the level of self-perception of the theoretical and practical competencies of the seventh and eighth semester students of the UNAM Nursing Degree. Material and methods:

    Through an instrument consisting of 48 items measured on a Likert scale, ranging from beginner level to expert level. The data obtained were analyzed with the SPSS program, prior to the application of the instrument a pilot test was carried out in which a degree of reliability was obtained with Cronbach’s alpha of 0.95. The sample consisted of 152 nursing students of the 2014-2018 generation, of both sexes, both in the morning and afternoon sessions. Findings: Students generally perceive themselves at an efficient level in terms of theoretical-practical skills. Those who work in a clinical area consider that they have a higher level of experts compared to those who work in other areas. It was found that there is no difference between men and women on the degree of self-perception they possess. Conclusion:

    Students in nursing have the appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge and their self-perception is considered acceptable taking into account their academic training.
