  • The article highlights the life and work of American painter Hyman Bloom, whose work was influenced by Jewish heritage and Eastern religions. Topics discussed include several artists such as Lee Krasner, Carmen Herrera, and Norman Lewis, who were marginalized because of their race or gender; an exhibition devoted to the cultural impact of curator Lincoln Kirstein unearthed works from MoMA's collection; and exhibition "Hyman Bloom: Matters of Life and Death," featuring his work.
