¿Los OCEX piensan en verde?

    Podríamos decir que “pensamos en verde” cuando nuestras actuaciones están dirigidas a ser responsables y respetuosas con el medio ambiente. La conservación del entorno donde vivimos es fundamental para nuestra supervivencia y la de las generaciones futuras. Todas las organizaciones, incluidos los OCEX, tienen que trabajar para lograr la sostenibilidad medioambiental, actuar de manera ambientalmente responsable y ser eficientes en la utilización de los recursos naturales.

    La responsabilidad de los OCEX en esta área es doble. Como instituciones de control externo del sector público no sólo han de mostrar su compromiso incorporando temas medioambientales en sus fiscalizaciones sino que, además, deben dar ejemplo en sus organizaciones.

    ¿Qué están haciendo en la actualidad? ¿Con qué retos se enfrentan de cara al futuro? ¿Están preparados y capacitados para asumirlos? ¿Son un modelo a seguir? El objetivo de este trabajo es informar sobre la elaboración de auditorías relacionadas con el medio ambiente en el sector público español por parte de los OCEX en los últimos años, así como proporcionar una visión sobre las medidas internas de carácter medioambiental que han ido adoptando los propios órganos de control.

    We could say that “we think green” when our actions are aimed at being responsible and respectful of the environment. The conservation of the environment where we live is fundamental to our survival and that of future generations. All organizations, including OCEX, have to work to achieve environmental sustainability, act in an environmentally responsible manner and be efficient in the use of natural resources.

    The responsibility of the OCEX in this area is twofold. As institutions of external control of the public sector, they not only have to show their commitment by incorporating environmental issues in their audits, but they must also set an example in their organizations.

    What are they doing today? What challenges do they face in the future? Are they prepared and trained to assume them? Are they a role model? The objective of this work is to inform about the elaboration of audits related to the environment in the Spanish public sector by the OCEX in recent years, as well as to provide insight on the internal environmental measures that have been adopted by the control bodies themselves.
