    En el presente artículo vamos a analizar las diferentes variables relacionadas con la nupcialidad, el matrimonio y la familia en la ciudad de Jaén a lo largo del siglo XVI, basándonos en la información extraída de diferentes fuentes de información: los Libros parroquiales, las Constituciones Sinodales, los Expedientes Matrimoniales y los Protocolos Notariales. Con todo, pretendemos conocer de primera mano las tendencias, el alcance, los comportamientos de esta institución tanto desde la órbita demográfica como también de la sociológica.

    In this article we will analyze the different variables related to marriage, marriage and the family in the city of Jaén throughout the 16th century based on the information extracted from different information sources: the parish books, the synodal constitutions, marriage records and notarial protocols. However, we intend to learn first hand about trends, scope, the behavior of this institution both from demographic orbit as well as the sociological.
