Valoración patrimonial de los yacimientos del Acantilado de Martiánez (Tenerife, Islas Canarias)

  • A heritage evaluation has been carried out for two classical fossil sites from the Martianez cliff, at Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain): the fossil site of La Cueva de las Palomas and the Martianez Fm. The heritage analysis process involves the elaboration of a detailed site file. A detailed filecard has been produced to record precise site information, namely: geographical and geological description of site, fossil content, research data and evaluation criteria for each fossil site. Palaeontological interest of sites lies in their scientific and social-cultural relevance.
