Resumen de Estratigrafía secuencial de las Facies Urgon (Aptiense) en la subcuenca de Las Parras (Provincia de Teruel)

The Urgon facies in Las Parras Subbasin have been divide into two depositional sequences: TheLower Aptian D.S. and The Upper Aptian D.S. The vertical evolution o f both sequences andtheir sedimentological features allowe to distinguish three system tracts (L.S.T, T.S.T and H.S.T).The first sequence includes Morelia, Chert and Forcall Formations. This sequence is made upwith materials wich settled in shallow carbonate ramp environments and shows a retrogradationalgeneral evolution. The Upper Aptian D.S. consists o f only Villarroya de los Pinares formation.This unit shows a great variety o f sedimentation environments, for exam ple continental,transicional and marine environments. The vertical evolution o f this sequence starts with a fastretrogradational evolution and finishes with a progradational evolution.
