  • Resumen
    • Alicante province may be, till nowadays, the Spanish place where the most number of artificial recharge experiences have been developed. The Province Diputación, together with ITCE, are the public organisms that have carried out all the experiments made. One of the oldest is taking place in the Plana de Gandfa-Denia Hydrogeological Unit. Winter exceedings not used inirrigation are being recharged in the aquifer, through wells with deep horizontal galleries that were unused or abandoned before the artificial recharge experience. This water catchment type recovery, in places where soil scarcity is important and soil cost is high, may be an alternative to plan artificial recharge experiences, in those areas where this technology had been left out because it needs large soil extensions to start working, that would raise the price of there charged water.
