In the Spanish Mediterranean region there are small basins with discontinuous water inflow ,sometimes of high volume, which are connected to small coastal aquifers with over exploitation and saltwater intrusion problems. These two problems, together with the existing superficial water surpluses allow artificial recharge of aquifers proposals, that would improve some aquifers management. The artificial recharge experience would consist of infiltrate some of the sporadic exceedings flowing along rainfed water courses, rivers and torrents, through the construction of small dams, dikes and diversions in the water course bed. In this paper, works made in order to confirm the viability of programming artificial recharge experiences in the coastal detritic Javea(Alicante, Spain) aquifer, using as water source the casual foods that flow along the Jalon-Gorgosriver, are shown.
