    Sant Feliu de Guixols "Lluís Llor Sàbat (1874-1960) left a handwritten diary in Spanish where he recorded factually and with great detail the events he observed during the Civil War. The objectivity of the data, later verified by location and chronological proximity of events give a special interest to the story or, better,notes- Lluís Llor was necessarily cryptic. Obviously, outlining the facts forced the author to make personal choices, depending on the needs and circumstances of the time and events in which he lived. The subjective evaluation that Lluís LLor makes of everyday life in a period of upheaval in the rearguard evolves as the days pass and the civil war drags on, taking his viewpoint from being initially favorable of the republican ideals to the acceptance of Franco's victory as the social liberation of the people.

    El guixolenc Lluís Llor Sàbat (1874-1960) va deixar escrit a mà i en castellà un dietari, on apuntava amb constància i rigor els fets ocorreguts al seu entorn, durant la guerra Civil. L'objectiu de les dades, contrastades posteriorment, per l'espai i proximitat temporal dels esdeveniments, donen un interès especial al relat -o, millor apunts- de Lluís Llor forçosament esquemàtic. Evidentment, l'esquematització dels fets va obligar el seu autor a fer-ne una selecció personal, segons les necessitats i circumstàncies en què vivia. La valoració subjectiva que Lluís LLor fa de la quotidianitat del convuls període a la rereguarda ganxona va evolucionant a mesura que els dies passen i avança el conflicte civil, des d'una posició inicial favorable als ideals republicans fins a acceptar la victòria franquista com un alliberament social del poble
