    La perspectiva de las víctimas del terrorismo es necesaria para crear una cultura de la memoria que sirva de testimonio y exija justicia. Etxenike ha manifestado su posición en cuanto al tema del terrorismo y considera que el escritor debe situarse del lado de los que padecen la historia. Es por esto por lo que en El ángulo ciego el punto de vista de las víctimas resulta ser el camino natural para escribir una novela sobre el terrorismo.

    The perspective of the victims of terrorism is necessary to create a culture of memory which serves as a testimony and demands justice. Etxenike has manifested her position regarding the theme of terrorism and believes that the writer must place him or herself on the side of those who suffer history. That is why in El ángulo ciego [The Blind Spot] the point of view of the victims turns out to be the natural route to write a novel about terrorism.
