Resumen de Alcance de la desamortización eclesiástica en el patrimonio del Convento de los Trinitarios de la villa de Cuéllar (Segovia)

En este artículo se ofrece un estudio del impacto de la desamortización eclesiástica en el convento de los Trinitarios de Cuéllar. Su presencia en esta localidad abarcó un periodo de tiempo de casi seis siglos, lo cual propició que la mencionada Orden religiosa ocupara un puesto de primera relevancia en la vida cotidiana y en la estructura social, económica, cultural y religiosa de Cuéllar. Se traza una historia que arranca desde la fundación del nuevo convento (1554) hasta su abandono en tiempo de las desamortizaciones. Durante este espacio temporal, estos religiosos se dedicaron a la celebración de los diversos oficios litúrgicos, a la administración de sus haciendas y a la enseñanza de Moral en la cátedra conventual, haciendo de su convento uno de los m´´as estimados por la población cuellarana.

In this article it is offer a study of the impact of ecclesiastical confiscation in the convent of the Trinitarios of Cuéllar. Its presence in this locality covered a period of time of almost six centuries, which caused that mentioned religious Order occupied a position of first importance in the daily life and in the social, economic, cultural and religious structure of Cuéllar. It is traced a story that starts from the foundation of the new convent (1554) until its abandonment in time of the confiscations (1835). During this temporary space, these religious dedicated themselves to the celebration of the various liturgical offices, to the administration of their haciendas and to the teaching of Moral in the conventual chair, making their convent one of the most esteemed by the population of Cuéllar.
