    El autor describe las heridas producidas por mordeduras, picaduras y otras lesiones ocasionadas por distintos animales marinos, especialmente por tiburones, serpientes marinas, equinodermos marinos y medusas. Se comentan las características de las lesiones que producen cada uno de ellos, la composición de su veneno, su sintomatología local y sistémica y su tratamiento.

    The author describes the wounds caused by bites, stings and other injuries caused by other marine animals, especially sharks, sea snakes, echinoderms and marine jellyfish. The characteristics of the injuries that occur in each case are discussed, as well as the composition of their venom, and their local and systemic symptoms.
