Tratamiento fisioterapéutico de la incontinencia urinaria femenina en una unidad de uroginecología

    En los últimos anos, la Fisioterapia se considera fundamental dentro del tratamiento de las incontinencias de esfuerzo femeninas. Con este artículo pretendemos, por un lado, describir el funcionamiento de una unidad de Uroginecología, donde el fisioterapeuta trabaja en equipo con otros especialistas y, por otro lado, dar a conocer los resultados de nuestro tratamiento realizado a un grupo de 412 mujeres a lo largo de los últimos cuatro años. Presentamos unos resultados globales muy satisfactorios haciendo que las pacientes se ahorren, en muchos de los casos, la cirugía o, en el peor de los casos, llevándolas en mejores condiciones hacia la intervención quirúrgica.

    Over the last years, Physiotherapy is considered as fundamental within the female stress urinary incontinence treatment. With this article we intend, on the one hand, to describe the functioning of an Uroginecological unit, where the physiotherapist co-works with other specialists, and on the other hand, to present the therapy results on 412 women who have bee treated throughout the last tour years.

    We present very satisfactory global results making patients save themselves, in many of the cases, from the surgery or, in the worse of the cases, taking them in better conditions towards the operation.
