    Analizar hasta qué punto el enfoque de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) puede favorecer que la actividad minera contribuya al desarrollo de las comunidades donde se lleva a cabo sin impactos negativos sobre los grupos de interés involucrados. Metodología: A partir de entrevistas a cuatro grupos mineros, se describe la forma en que se perciben y atienden las demandas y necesidades de los principales grupos de interés sobre los cuales la empresa tiene responsabilidad. Resultados: Se identificaron cuatro ámbitos donde la RSE se hizo presente, contar con el distintivo, las diferentes prácticas llevadas a cabo por las empresas, las prácticas que según las empresas constituyen una conducta de RSE y finalmente, la relación que tienen con sus trabajadores y con la comunidad donde operan. Limitaciones: Los resultados de la investigación se centran en cuatro grupos mineros productores de oro y cobre ubicados en cuatro distintos municipios del estado de Sonora. Dentro de los resultados se contempla las percepciones en cuanto al enfoque de RSE que tienen las empresas mineras, sus empleados directos y las comunidades involucradas. Conclusiones: A pesar de la urgencia en su aplicación, las acciones de RSE del sector minero sonorense se encuentran en una etapa emergente y experimental, la integración de modelos de desarrollo comunitario que tomen en cuenta acciones dirigidas a los distintos grupos de interés abre la posibilidad de marcar una tendencia que propicie una transición desde las prácticas filantrópicas hacia la búsqueda del empoderamiento y bienestar social.

    To analyze the extent to which the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach can favor the mining activity contributing to the development of the communities where it is carried out without negative impacts on the stakeholders involved. Methodology: Based on interviews with four mining groups, it is describing the way they are perceived and cared for the demands and needs. This is: of the main interest groups, over which the company has responsibility Results: Four areas where CSR was present were identified: having the distinction, the different practices carried out by the companies, the practices that according to the companies constitute CSR behavior and finally, the relationship they have with their workers and with the community where they operate. Limitations: The results of the research are focused on four gold and copper mining groups located in four different municipalities of the state of Sonora. The results include the perceptions regarding the CSR approach of mining companies, their direct employees and the communities involved. Conclusions: Despite the urgency in its application, the RSE actions of the Sonoran mining sector are in an emerging and experimental stage. The integration of community development models that take into account actions aimed at the different interest groups opens the possibility to mark a trend that promotes a transition from philanthropic practices to the search for social empowerment and welfare.
