Resumen de Algunas consideraciones acerca de la cimentación de obras de ingeniería sobre macizos cársticos: caso de estudio

In Cuba, the knowledge of Geology Environment is very related to the study o f karst, having into account that karst rocks ocupy two thirds of the national territory. This problem provides the construction of public works be usually affected by the proceses associated to this physical geological phenomenom. From the study of a particular case, some conclusions about basic aspects to be considered in foundations on karstic zones are drawn. The dinamic that is stablished when caves and holes are present under building foundations, causing differential settelement is highlighted.
