    El Código orgánico de la economía social del conocimiento, creatividad e innovación, denominado también “Código Ingenios” nace como sueño de la Secretaría Nacional de Educación Superior Ciencia y Tecnología del Ecuador (SENESCYT); creado y discutido mediante el proceso “wiky colaboración”.

    Este documento hizo una revisión bibliográfica de los artículos publicados en la web y la normativa legal del código, es una investigación de tipo descriptivo y analítico que pretende dar a conocer la conceptualización del código, sus principios y normativas como nexo con las universidades, además de los puntos controversiales que se derivan de éste.

    Las universidades son el vínculo entre el Estado y la sociedad para impulsar el conocimiento que es el activo intangible más preciado del desarrollo de una nación, bajo estos principios, las IES son actores y gestores del conocimiento y es parte de sus funciones llevar el conocimiento de las aulas a la comunidad, a través de los proyectos de vinculación; con la investigación se impulsa el desarrollo de nuevos inventos, creación de productos de software como iniciativas de sus estudiantes, y combate a la biopiratería. El Código Ingenios busca que el Ecuador pase del analfabetismo digital a la era del conocimiento.

    The Organic Code of the Social Economy of Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation, also called the  Ingenious Code was born as a dream of the National Secretariat of Higher Education Science and Technology of Ecuador (SENESCYT); created and discussed through the "wiky collaboration" process.

    This document made a bibliographic review of articles published on the web and the legal regulations of the code, this is a research of a descriptive and analytical type that seeks to make known the conceptualization of the code, its principles and regulations as a link with universities, in addition to the controversial points that derive from it.

    Universities are the link between the State and society to promote the knowledge that is the most precious intangible asset of the development of a nation. Under these principles, HEIs are actors and managers of knowledge and it is part of their functions to bring knowledge of the classrooms to the community, through the projects of bonding; the research promotes the development of new inventions, creation of software products as initiatives of its students, and combat biopiracy. The Ingenious Code seeks to move Ecuador from digital illiteracy to the age of knowledge.
