La búsqueda. La inmigración holandesa (1880-1930)

    Entre 1846 y 1932 se estimaba que habían emigrado de Europa unos 224.000 holandeses. De los cuales sólo 8.000 llegaron a Sudamérica. Entre 1880 a 1920 abandonaron Holanda unas 214.000 personas. De esas unos 130.000 viajaron a los Estados Unidos representando un 60.74% del total del flujo migratorio; 36.000 partieron con rumbo a Asia representando un 16.82%, 30.000 se asentaron en Canadá marcando así un porcentaje aproximado de 14.01%, el 4.67% es decir unos 10.000 inmigrantes hacían lo propio con destino a Sudáfrica y por último a Sudamérica vinieron 8.000, un porcentaje de 3.73%. Dentro del flujo que partió hacia América del Sur, la migración se localizó en tres países: Argentina, Brasil y por último Chile. Dentro de este contexto, caben preguntas muy puntuales sobre las cuales ha girado la presente investigación. ¿Cuántos holandeses en efecto habían arribado a la Argentina y de que partes de Holanda procedían?, ¿con que motivos venían y cuántos de ellos se habían asentado en forma definitiva?, ¿En quéaño exacto llegaban los primeros integrantes de la familia Korstanje al país?, ¿Qué motivos específicos llevaron a esa migración?, y por último ¿Dónde y cómo se adaptaron particularmente los descendientes del primer matrimonio Korstanje? Fijar la unidad de análisis no fue tarea sencilla, por un lado se necesitaba describir como se llevó a cabo el flujo migratorio holandés en el tramo que va desde el año 1880 a 1930 en la República Argentina, luego reconstruir los motivos particulares que tuvieron los Korstanje para emigrar al país, sus primeros pasos y su radicación final en la ciudad de Buenos Aires

    Between 1846 and 1932 it was thinking that approximately 224.000 Dutches had emigrated from Europa.From which only 8.000 came to South America. Between 1880 1920 approximately 214.000 persons left Holland. Inside the flow that divided towards South America, the migration was located in three countries: Argentina, Brazil and finally Chile. Inside this context, they fit very punctual questions on which you have turned the present investigation. ¿How many Dutch, ineffect, had arrived to the Argentina and of that you depart from Holland they were proceeding?, ¿why did they depart and how many of them had settled themselves in definitive form?, ¿when did arrive the first members of the family Korstanje to Argentina?, ¿which reasons did leave behind?, and finally where and how there adapted particularly the descendants from the first Korstanje couple? To fix the unit of analysiswas a simple task, on the one hand it was necessary describe as there removed to end the migratory Dutch flow in the section that goes from the year 1880 to 1930 in the Republic Argentina, then to reconstructthe particular motives that the Korstanje had for emigrating to the country, their first steps and their final settlement in the city of Buenos Aires.
