    El presente trabajo aborda el concepto de ciudadanía política para a partir de él reflexionar sobre los derechos reconocidos a las personas migrantes en la legislación argentina; en particular, el derecho al sufragio. Se estructura a partir de la definición del término “ciudadanía” acuñado por Hannah Arendt, para luego hacer un breve repaso sobre su metamorfosis. Aplica también estos conceptos para identificar la jurisprudencia de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación, que en materia de proceso de naturalización reconoce ampliamente el derecho a su obtención, a partir de la interpretación “pro homine” de la cláusula constitucional pertinente.

    The present work deals with the concept of political citizenship and proposes to reflect on the recognized rights of the migrants in the Argentine law, specially the right to vote. The text structure is based on the definition of the term “citizenship” coined by Hannah Arendt and then make a brief review on its metamorphosis.

    Also these concepts are applided to identify the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. This Court widely recognized the right to naturalization from the interpretation “pro homine” of the pertinent constitutional clause.
