e bring to light reections about gender, social classes, clothing, habitation and food. A large part of this activities happens in the domestic sphere, the space in which the women had the greatest responsibility and holes in the first half of the century. Observing the pages of the female magazine Anuário das Senhoras among the years 1937-1945, it sought to observe the balises of what is meant in the period on acquire, maintain and conserve a female healthy body, considering for this aim the articles, columns and texts about the “eating well”, exercise and rest for women that belong a certain social stratum - urban middle class, during the New State of Vargas

Matérias relativas ao cotidiano e à vida doméstica trazem à tona reflexões sobre gênero, classes sociais, vestuário, moradia e alimento. Grande parte dessas atividades se dá no espaço doméstico, e é neste espaço que, na primeira metade do século XX, a mulher tinha a maior responsabilidade e funções. Observando as páginas da revista feminina brasileira Anuário das Senhoras entre os anos de 1937-1945, procurou-se identificar as balizas do que se entendia no período sobre o adquirir, manter e conservar um corpo feminino saudável, considerando para isso os artigos, as colunas, os textos, acerca do “comer bem”, exercitar-se e repousar para mulheres pertencentes a uma certa camada social – classes médias urbanas, durante o Estado Novo Brasileiro de Vargas
