Este trabajo pretende caracterizar la angustia como fenómeno del mundo técnico en el horizonte histórico de sentido del mundo contemporáneo. Una perspectiva fundamental para esclarecer el nuevo malestar de la civilización en la era técnica. Con este propósito se analizará la productividad hermenéutica de la angustia en relación con la técnica y su significado ontológicoexistencial. Así, se mostrará en qué sentido la angustia patológica puede entenderse como interpretación caída y apropiación impropia de la angustia existencial;
y también el modo en que la angustia existencial, constitutiva del existir, actúa como un auténtico dispositivo de supervivencia en el Gestell.

This paper endeavors to characterize Angst as a phenomenon pertaining to the technical world within the historical sense-horizon of the contemporary world;
a perspective which provides a crucial insight on the new malaise of civilization in the technical age. With a view to this purpose, the hermeneutic productivity of Angst will be analyzed in its relationship to technique and its ontological-existential significance. This will shed light on the sense in which pathological Angst can be understood as a fallen interpretation and an improper appropriation of existential Angst, and also on the way in which existential Angst, constitutive of existence, acts in fact as an genuine device for survival within Gestell.
