  This text introduces reflections on teacher training, education and psychoanalysis contained in this dossier. It startsfromthecurrentscenario,extremelyunfavorabletoeducationalinitiatives;italsoshowswhothepioneers were, whose seminal works influence us today and reiterates the foundation of the impossible professions as defined by Freud. It then reveals four principles that guide the dossier: 1) a training that does not reduce education to methods and discourses; 2) the inclusion of the subject of the unconscious into the reality of educational experience; 3) an education beyond schooling, but a result of transmission; and 4. an education capableofaccommodatingtheprecariousstatesofexistence.Afterpresentingthearticles,itposesthequestion, alongside Lacan, of how "people are taken by anguish when they think about what it is to educate", and then end up encouraging psychoanalysis focused on social work and thecity.
