    Este texto describe la concepción althusseriana de sujeto y la vincula con los rasgos y la actuación del protagonista de la novela El proceso, de Franz Kafka, cuya historia ofrece una metáfora del sujeto sometido a un entramado ideológico el cual, mediante el apego a ciertas prácticas dominantes, le confiere una identidad.

    La noción de sujeto de Althusser y el personaje de Kafka no consiguen relacionarse con prácticas de resistencia contrarias a representaciones imperantes y monolíticas. Al respecto, hay diversas posibilidades para detonar la agencia en el sujeto de Althusser: devolver al poder una imagen construida por el propio sujeto, distinta a la que le otorga la ideología; identificar ideologías alternativas a la dominante, a cuya apelación el sujeto pueda responder; o pensar en un sujeto-ciudadano transindividual, a la conquista de sus derechos.

    This text describes the Althusserian conception of Subject by linking it with the features and performance of the protagonist of the novel The Process, by Franz Kafka, whose story offers a metaphor of the Subject submitted to an ideological framework that, through attachment to certain dominant practices, confers it an identity. The Althusser’s notion of Subject and the character of Kafka, however, fail to link up to practices of resistance contrary to prevailing and monolithic representations.

    In this regard, it is argued that there are different possibilities to detonate agency in Althusser’s subject: by returning to the power an image constructed by the Subject itself, different from that given by the ideology; by identifying alternative ideologies to the dominant one, whose appeal the Subject can answer; by thinking of a transindividual citizen-Subject, to the conquest of their rights.
