    Biografia acadèmica i recull comentat de l’obra del Dr. Jordi Ventura i Subirats, professor d’Història Econòmica a la UB entre 1968 i 1999. Treballà especialment alguns aspectes de la història medieval catalana, així com l’heretgia medieval càtara i la repressió contra jueus i conversos amb la Monarquia Hispànica. Divulgà l’experiència dels socialistes cabetians relacionats amb Barcelona i estudià la situació de les nacions sense estat en els inicis de l’actual Unió Europea, així com la circulació de la moneda en l’àmbit català de l’època moderna. Fou membre fundador del Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya.

    Academic biography and an annotated collection of the works by Dr. Jordi Ventura i Subirats, Professor of Economic History at Universitat de Barcelona between 1968 and 1999. He particularly focused on certain aspects of Catalan medieval history, as well as the Cathar heresy in the Middle Ages and repression of the Jews and converts under the Hispanic Monarchy. He raised awareness of the experience of Cabet socialists related to Barcelona and studied the situation of nations without a state in the early days of the European Union, as well as the money in circulation in the Catalan sphere in the modern era. He was a founder member of the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC).
