En este trabajo, proponemos reflexionar respecto de la participación y características de la militancia femenina en el Movimiento de Liberación Nacional-Tupamaros (MLN-T) uruguayo desde una perspectiva feminista, preguntándonos lo que implicó simbólicamente para ellas asumir la vía armada en el marco de un sistema de género patriarcal; para luego revisar testimonios de ex militantes respecto de sus experiencias como mujeres al interior de la orgánica. Los testimonios revelan tensiones tras ser incorporadas como “una más”, inclusión que implicó la exigencia de borrar sus diferencias y con ello las demandas de igualdad que podrían originarse a partir de estas. Ello, en el contexto de un proyecto revolucionario de los largos sesenta, que no incorporó transformaciones radicales en las relaciones de sexo género, asumiendo que los sujetos de la revolución eran neutros.

In this work I analyse female participation in the Uruguayan National Liberation Movement-Tupamaros (MLN-T) and its features from a feminist perspective, asking about what it symbolically meant for women to take over the armed struggle in a patriarchal gender system, in order to further analyse part of the of former militants’ published testimonies about their experience as women in the guerrilla movements. Testimonies reveal some of the tensions after the incorporation of these militants as ‘just one more’, which translated into the need of erasing their gender differences and, together with it, the equality demands that could have emerged from those differences. All this, in the context of a revolutionary project of the long seventies, that did not incorporate radical transformations to sex/gender relations by assuming that the revolutionary militants where neutral subjects.
