Resumen de La protección del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial en Europa

El Patrimonio Cultural es un terreno que no se limita únicamente a monumentos o colecciones –patrimonio cultural material-, sino que se compone también de manifestaciones o tradiciones vivas de nuestros antepasados que son transmitidoas a futuras generaciones- patrimonio cultural inmaterial-. Este último, pese a la delicadeza de su naturaleza, es una pieza esencial en el mantenimiento de la diversidad frente al auge de la globalización. Conocer el ámbito legislativo que se dedica a su protección es la finalidad que persigue el presente artículo.

The term “Cultural Heritage” is a land which does not end not only at monuments or physical collections –material cultural heritage-, but also includes manifestations or living traditions from our ancestors transmitted to our future generations –intangible cultural heritage-. Despite its fragility, intangible cultural heritage is an essential piece in maintaining cultural diversity in the face of growing globalization. Knowing the legislative area dedicated to its protection, is the purpose of this article.
