  Este artículo es producto de una revisión temática sobre el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en las investigaciones sociales, forma parte de la etapa propedéutica para la ejecución de un proyecto  con el objetivo de caracterizar el empleo de estas tecnologías  en el proceso investigativo en la carrera de Gestión Sociocultural para el Desarrollo en la Universidad de Granma, Cuba. La estrategia metodológica se sistematizó a través de los métodos de análisis documental y hermenéutico que permitieron  analizar, interpretar y cotejar la literatura especializada hasta concluir que: los estudios actuales apuntan al reconocimiento del paradigma cuanticualitativo, lo que favorece la intervención de las TIC en los procesos  investigativos de las Ciencias Sociales, al propiciar la reconstrucción del contexto social para su mejor interpretación y comprensión.Palabras clave: Investigación, Ciencias Sociales, TIC, Cualitativo, Cuantitativo.

  This article is product of a thematic revision on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the social investigations, are a part of the stage propaedeutic for the execution of a project for the sake of characterizing the use of these technologies in the investigating process in Sociocultural's Gestation career for the Development at Granma's University, Cuba. The strategy methodological came under a system through the methods of documentary and hermeneutical analysis that they enabled to examine, interpreting and comparing the literature specialized to come to an end than: The present-day studies point of the paradigm county qualitative to the recognition, that favors the intervention of them TIC in the investigating processes of the Social Sciences to propitiate the reconstruction of the social context for his better interpretation and understanding.Keywords: Investigation, Social Sciences, ICT, Qualitative, Quantitative.
