Protección del conocimiento y de tecnología con utilidad en defensa

    Dentro de las categorías de bienes que tienen usos inequívocamente militares -recogidos en la Clasificación Internacional de Patentes (CIP)-, se encuentran algunas invenciones registradas en España los últimos años. Sin embargo, existen muchas otras tecnologías que pueden incorporarse en otros bienes y servicios que se podrían utilizar con fines de seguridad y defensa que son registrados en otros epígrafes –tecnologías de uso dual- y, por tanto, no es posible analizar todas las invenciones registradas. El artículo presenta la situación actual de estas patentes en España y la problemática inherente al sector para su estudio.     The International Patent Classification (IPC) provides in their system some goods with unequivocally military uses, and some inventions registered in Spain were included. However there are many other technologies that can be used by goods and services, but also useful utility for defence and security purposes –dual use technologies-, although they are registered in other categories. Therefore, it is not possible to analyse every inventions registered. This article presents both the current situation of these patents in Spain, and the challenge for researching in this sector of activity. A bibliometric analysis by categories is performed together with a relational one.
